I thought it might be a fault with my Mac VM initially but upon further testing, it occurs under my Windows VM also.

As soon as I connect the device to the VM Guest, it re-detects the USB device under the device manager (as standard) to pass through the driver but fails to do so, generally with a code 28 driver error.

NOTE: both ipad and iphone, appear to be working fine under Windows 10 directly, its only the USB passthrough.

Im so used to Windows faults being something in the registry or finding a driver from someone who extracted it from somewhere or some other weird checkbox that a plain old re-install just generally doesnt occur (especially since the VMs themselves still worked) Thank you.

Report Save Continue this thread level 1 4 years ago The latest versions of itunes is installed on the machines, this was applicable for 9.3.2, 9.3.3 (I think) and 9.3.4 iOS updates.

My guess is I need to force the genuine Apple driver in to the system while the device is in a connected state to the VM.
